Bold mast head, white letters on red background, image, or part of image covers part of the 'E' but you can clearly see what the mast head says, and whether you are first drawn to either the picture or the title, your eyes are drawn to the other afterwards because of the overlap.

'premiere issue' has the letters cut from a white rectangle so that the words are in the same colour as the image in the background.

'hip-hop classics' is a cover line and is in bold white letters with a slightly smaller and 'smarter' font underneith describing it.

The barcode is displayed in the bottom right hand corner, with price of magazine as well as the website above it.

The bottom has a strapline that includes the name of different artists that are included in the pages inside.

In conclusion, the front cover is simple but effective, with the image being the main focus, yet overlapping with the title to capture the audiences attention and causing relevence between the image and the title.

When creating my own front cover, I would try to make it as simple as possible making either the title or the image the main focus of the front cover.
